Shamrock 1/2 a Windy Challenge

Lots of wind on Saturday's race.  Results were posted Sunday on Fleet Feet's website.  They posted them in an odd spot on their website (under the 'Resources' link at the top of their page).  It was not our race, so no control of variables etc.

The race was fun and challenging.  Congratulations to all that finished.

Green Shoe #2 Results

Wonderful weather for Sunday's race (52 deg) did not translate into a great turnout.  The course was fast and water stops were necessary.  Neil Harvey ran the 1/2 marathon course in 1:41:12 to finish first.  Congratulations! 

Remember the Shamrock 1/2 Marathon on Saturday! ... same place different time (8:00 am).

Green Shoe #1 Results

Despite the cold weather and limited turnout, the race went without a hitch.  Congratulations go to Steve Cook who logged the fastest time on Sunday's Green Shoe 1/2 marathon and  finished in 1:31:46. Second place goes to Neil Harvey who finished in 1:39:55.  Third to R. Astill.  Individual results have been e-mailed to all participants. Thanks for this inaugural event!  Remember The Green Shoe #2 half on Mar. 13th (same place and time) and the Shamrock half the following week.

This is the official site of the 1st annual Green Shoe 1/2 Marathon series

The Green Shoe is a series of three half-marathons culminating in the Shamrock Half Marathon held on March 19th, 2011. *The Green Shoe is not associated with the Shamrock Half Marathon or City of Saratoga Springs*

Join us for the Green Shoe series as listed below.

Green Shoe #1 1/2 marathon:  Sunday, February 27 at 12:00pm noon 
Green Shoe #2 1/2 marathon:  Sunday, March 13 at 12:00 pm noon
Shamrock Half Marathon: Saturday, March 19 at 8:00 am


Place: Start and Finish at Vista Heights Middle School, 484 W. Pony Express Parkway, Saratoga Springs, Utah 84045.  Parking available.

Course: Start and Finish will be at Vista Heights Middle School in Saratoga Springs. This is a loop course, not an out and back. The course will take a loop through Eagle Mountain. Click here for a map of the course.
The start will be in front of the middle school.   The finish will be in the parking lot in front of the middle school.

Registration: Register in person on the morning of the Green Shoe #1 and #2.  The Shamrock registration (not associated with The Green Shoe) is available here.  The inagural run is complimentary.  Please supply an email address for results.

Results: Results will be emailed to all participants within a day of the event. Best finishers will be posted on this website.
